Op. Dr. Selim Muğrabi

Selim Muğrabi; Orthopaedist and Traumatology Specialist, Surgeon.

He was born in 1970 in Iskenderun. He graduated from the School of Medicine of Istanbul University in1993. He finished his specialization in orthopaedia and traumatology at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in 2002.

During the years 2002-2003 he received training in New York Hospital for Special Surgery Foot and Ankle service on hallux valgus, acquired flat footedness and ankle problems. Then, he received in Seattle the trainings "diabetic foot" and in Providence "hallux valgus", and «advanced foot surgery in acquired ankle problems".

Until 2007 he worked on foot and ankle problems in the Orthopaedia and Traumatology service of Istanbul Surgery Hospital.

During the years 2007-2010 he worked in Istanbul Foot and Ankle Treatment Centre.

Hallux valgus, ankle ache, acquired flat footedness, stepping defects in children are among the principle areas of interest of Dr Selim Muğrabi who started to work in Fulya Foot Surgery Centre as per June 2010.

 

Dr. Çağlayan Yergin

Born in 1959, graduated from Cerrahpaşa Medicine Faculty. Received training of Sports medicine in London Hospital Medical College. Later, finished his doctorate on Sport Physiology at the Medicine faculty of Istanbul University.

He took the course "the scientific principles in sports medicine" of the International Olympic Committee. He made researches on motor learning in sports, the gender factor in the aerobic capacity, the body matching in exercise periods, the shoulder physiology and evaluation of the sportive capacity level of children.

All the exercise and performance tests

For all the athletes and specially for the athletes who want to compete at a high level, at the beginning of their sports life, at the beginning of the season and in defined periodic times the evaluation of physical capacity, the learning of personal weak and strong sides and the achievement as soon as possible of the goals by designing the special working program matching those specificities, the minimization of mutilations and health risk are a routine application.

Our sportive performance measurements are made under the supervision of Dr. Çağlayan Yergin in our Fulya Foot Surgery Centre.

The performance tests of many selected /potential selected athletes in swimming, tennis, gymnastics, basket-ball, ski and other domains are carried in our clinical. Before starting to practice sports or while practicing actively, it is important for you to be informed about your physical capacity. This allows you to practice the activity you chose more rightly and efficiently.

The physiological evaluation made for that aimed at defining the personal fitness level of the individual.

The sportive activity you made at the result of the Personal Fitness Test Result;

• May show if there is a risk for your health,
• May find out your weak and strong sides,
• May constitute the most efficient program in order to achieve your fitness goals and you may reduce your mutilation risk to the lowest level.  

Personal Fitness Evaluation

• Cardiovascular Fitness (with the Bruce protocol)
• Measurements of the functions of the lung
• The composition of the body (with the measurement of skinfold)
• Flexibility
• composed of the muscular power and resistance tests ( with Cybex Humac NORM and hand ergometry).

As a result of this test made in parallel with the protocols applied in the U.S and in European countries, you may achieve your fitness goals more rapidly and without any risk.
