Analysis of the Walking Process

The analysis of the walking process of a person is the examination of the walking process as kinetics (from the type of factors which cause the articulation movements such as strength, pressure, moment, torque and define the kinematical magnitude) and kinematics (from the type of changing of place, linear speed, acceleration and the opposite angular magnitude). Putting the person to examine on the walking band, the angle and powers which appeared during the walking process at the extremity articulations are measured and all the data taken are put into a graph and presented to the patient.

With the help of the strength platform (force plate) placed on the walking band, all the moments formed in the articulations during all the stages of the walking process are calculated by a computer rapidly and automatically.

All the people who want to evaluate their walking process may benefit from the Analysis of Walking Process. With the help of markers (reflective small balls) which retro reflect the infrared radiations spread by the cameras on the articulation and muscles which will be examined walking shootings are made with the help of  camera. Shootings are made by sticking external EMG electrodes on the muscles that want to be examined.  Especially for the articulations that want to be examined, more detailed examinations are made by zooming on the wanted parts of the body or stages of the walking process.

Comparisons for different situations of the individual are made with the use of special software (such as before and after the operation, before and after Botox, normal walking process). The data which are taken from the system are turned into a graph. The results obtained and the graphs are turned into an Excel file and may be archived.
